This is part 2 of tying the mylar spoon fly. I'll be sticking the mylar together with 5 minute epoxy, the core of the fly. This style of spoon fly with the mylar being stuck together by 5 minute epoxy to create the spoon shape was developed by Jon Cave of Florida. This version of that style was developed by Captain Bubby Rodriguez former owner of Big Red Guides in south Louisiana. I worked with Capt. Bubby to develop this spoon to be fished in shallow grassy water common in our duckponds where redfish are very abundant. It is very durable and will last through several dozen redfish before needing to be recoated with epoxy for another couple dozen fish. It also works well on bass and the salmonoids.
