  1. I have fished these waters and an 8 doesn't make sense for any of them. However, if you're chucking big bass bugs in a lake, then a stick that stout starts making sense.
  2. I have nothing to add to the argument other than that I love them and wish I had the patience to build my own jig and weave them myself.
  3. Pretty much, but wouldn't trade being a dad for the world.
  4. I've spin a lot of deer hair for bass poppers and also work with foam A LOT. I have never tried to make a balsa bodied popper though. I did purchase a few from a friend who makes them but haven't fished them yet to see what they do. I have never heard of anyone tying with raccoon haha
  5. I won a few items from Fly Tyers dungeon in a club raffle and I really like their products. I'll start a new thread on one of the streamers I tied with their Congo hair that you guys might like.
  6. I like tying streamers the most. I tie with mostly naturals, but some of the synthetics are nice. What should I try tying with in 2015?
  7. Thank you sir. I am really excited about busting the vise back out and tear out a few patterns.
  8. Hi, I'm pretty established in fly fishing. I used to do a lot on this site but haven't been on in a long time and started a new login instead. I'm a father, member of a few fly fishing clubs, a fly fishing instructor, recent college grad, and new blogger. I also used to have a blog but I blew that up too, and have started www.hopsandhooks.com for no other reason but because I have a little more free time now and want to start back into my hobbies again.
