  1. I have been fishing the Eastern Sierra since 1952 and fly fishing the same since 1974. I tie almost all of my own fly patterns and have been since 1974. There are two partridge skins that I use: The above skin is from Nature's Spirit and has feathers that are predominately brown-ish.. This skin is from Wapsi and the feathers are predominantly grey... This site (flyfishingthesierra.com) is where you got the info on Yvon's pattern: https://flyfishingthesierra.com/ptpart.htm These are some soft hackles I have tied with the hackle feathers for Wapsi: Frankly, in my experience I don't think the Trout I have encountered in the Eastern Sierra have a preference... 14. I haven't tied any flies since October of 2018 due to a bunch of medical experiences and moving back down from Pullman, WA to Los Angeles. My youngest daughter Ally, who is in Veterinary Medicine School at WSU , in Pullman, bought me some tying goodies for Xmas and told me that it was time to get back on the horse... Xmas gift.. Some #18 (TMC 2488H) HOT VAC's with thread bodies, I tied up on Saturday. I will be setting up my photo area and shooting individual pics soon... PT/TB
  15. My son got this lamp and is setting up a tying table for me so I can start tying flies again for the first time since October 2018. Lots of medical stuff in 2019 and 2020. My other light is attached to my desk up in Pullman, WA. This one will be here in Los Angeles with me... PT/TB🤗
