Papa Baske 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2015 Yesterday i made my first shrimp with a hackle. Today i tried to tie the same fly just i a different colour. The target will be seatrout by the coast. Criticism will be gladly recieved
tidewaterfly 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2015 Very nice looking fly! That should work! I like it! I would use that fly as a crayfish imitation too for our Smallmouth bass. Would bet it would even work well for Redfish or Bonefish, but I would tie it on a different hook & invert it to adapt to that type of fishing. I'm a fan of impressionistic flies for shrimp or crays! Nicely done!
Papa Baske 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2015 Thanks alot. I have tied other shrimp-patterns inverted but not this one. Mayby i'll give it a try. Maybe also try giving it a backshield next time.
