Not a fan of the burnt cork grip, but the rest of the rod looks perfect. Steve have you cut down blanks before? how does that effect the action and the casting?

It worked perfectly. Threw the full sinking line with ease and yet was short enough to no have to constantly get the tip tangled in the brush in some of the tighter sections. I love it for this creek.
