  1. Thanks again for your opinion JayMorr. Nice shoots too!
  2. JayMorr, nice shots! Great work! I saw you have a Brodin Ghost net, it doesn't arrive yet to Spain (we'll waiting next spanish spring, I hope). Which's your opinion and impression about use it? Better than traditional nets? Thanks and regards.
  3. Nice nymph, and great step by step. One suggestion: change pink dubbing by orange dubbing. I used here (in Spain) with good results, why don't there? Edit: I just saw your Champion Nymph Hydropsyche Orange ( http://shop.siman.cz/index.html?pod=/_czn14.htm ). Great! ja, ja, ja....
  4. Snowmass, if you like CDC flies, you should visit this web: http://www.petitjean.ch/eng/home/default.asp The Marc Petitjean flies are the best I never used, high quality.
  5. Thanks a lot for your welcome. Don, never it's so late to enjoy our pasion. In the Madrid area, we have in lake barbel, pike and carp, but don't have good lakes. I only fish trout and pike, and I prefer river to lake. The trout time is from April to October (free places of brown trout) and we usually go at least 200 miles from Madrid (so far, less people) to Leon, Guadalajara, Cuenca, Salamanda.... In Spain all the waters are publics, don't private waters. The rest of the year, if we want fish trout, we must go to 3-4 intensive places near from Madrid (40-50 miles), and pay (10-20$ c&r day) in river and little lakes to catch iris trout. The other option we have, is fish pike, in river too, that we can fish all the year, with the obligation to kill all the pikes we catch (local law, but sometimes the pike run away in last minute!, you know). Tell me if you have some questions. See you soon again.
  6. Anvil Apex, too. I believe we think that our own vise is the best, don't you?. At least, if we can't buy another best.
  7. Hi, everybody fly tyers and fly fishers! My name's Txema, I born in Leon (Spain, Coq de Leon place ) 37 years ago, and I live in Madrid (Spain) since 25 years ago, where I work from Monday to Friday and every weekend I return to Leon to practice our pasion. I'm not a rod builder, and only middle fly tyer, but since I've discovered this website (and I think it's fantastic) I learn a lot of things!. My english isn't so good as I want, but I hope we'll understand. If you want to practice your spanish, visite our local Spanish fly fishing website: Con mosca See you again, sure!
  8. Hi, very nice tying desk. Enjoy it.
  9. Hi, my preferred vise since 3 years ago is a rotary -Anvil Apex- but if I'll need a fly, it doesn't be a problem, in a non rotary I think I could, don't you?. Only comfort.
  10. Hi from Spain, I think the original Copper is the best, sometimes I used red too. One of my usual fishing friends have real devotion in dark green (not chartreuse).
