  1. I've fished a lot of ponds in the area. Grew up in wheeling and work right there off deerfield and 21. A lot of ponds in the area have good fishing, bass crappie pike and carp if thats your thing. Wanna shot me a pm there's a lot of good bites in the area.
  2. God i gotta get on the ball here, i haven't picked a pattern and paople have already sent their flies! put me down for the whistler
  3. Oh, didn't see that sorry, ill maybe switch
  4. I'm new around here but would love to start throwing my name in the hat. I'll do a weighted Seaducer.
  5. I had just recently watched the video of Lefty tying a deciever and for the hackle tail he would grab a bunch and twist them before cutting away from the group. This was a big time saver for me where as I was fastening them 2 on each side in pairs. It gave his fly a nice bulky tail that looked stellar. Sweet flies guy. I will probably be tying a few of both this weekend.

  7. A few shots from my trip last week to the northwoods of wisconsin
  8. Yeah i like vernon and richland counties the best but do fish grant iowa and dane as well
  9. I agree its not a must have when fishing for trout but I own the same exact reel for my 3wt and its the nicest fly reel I own. Smooth, quite, good drag...
  10. I love stones and this look quite new for me, thanks for sharing. Is the wing case just a strip of feather from a turkey? Pardon my ignorance I'm new.
  11. Poppers and top waters are so much fun. I was teaching my son to fly fish this last year for bluegills and we used a brassie with a bacon tail... We had a good day! Haha. It is a species I admittedly should spend a bit more time targeting.
