Bob Buckley 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2017 Did u stack marabou or wrap it at head? Thanks Bob
utyer 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2017 I tied that in 2009, and at my age, I really can't remember. My best guess is that I wrapped the marabou, and then stacked the darker hair on the top.
Old Hat 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2017 Looks good utyer. Especially for being 8 years old. Lol. The Stacked Blonde is a Kelly Galloup pattern and a variation of the Blonde series of patterns. It was originally tied on a keel hook, but they are very hard to find anymore. Some people use a worm hook now or often bend a streamer hook to a keel shape. The marabou is usually tied in 2 bunches. One on the top of the hook and one on the bottom, both at the front. This is a good sbs: http://www.flysandguides.com/how-to-tie-kelly-galloups-stacked-blonde It's a great pattern. I've recently been tying some for salt.
