  1. be careful with 'collected' materials guys, you can infest your whole materials box with unwanted bugs, and loose a lot of stuff (imagine loosing your hackle necks from some roadkill introduced vermin)...i disinfect skins and such with Buhack powder, a pyrthrin based insecticide...I shoot lots of gray partridge and pheasant over my dog every fall, think next year I may start skinning them out and drying them up for sale
  2. Netcraft is a good supplier of jig hooks. as noted above, tying on a bare jig hook with a dumbell eye tied into the "corner" of the hook is a great way to go for all sorts of streamer/leech type flies...hook point rides up, reduces snagging problems, fly has great jigging action...
  3. material spring is also handy for holding the trailer hook when tying that style of stremer, leech, etc
