I grew up tying on D H Thompson vises, all were Model A until I moved up to the Pro. The Pro was simply a Model A with a pedestal base, and I had three jaws for that one. My niece uses it now. At one time I had a Thompson thread tension clamp for rod wrapping, but I have never seen this thread waxer, or respooler.

Hello flytire,

I just got a Herters version of the D.H. Thompson Junior waxer. You had a video it looks like but its not working. Is that something I can watch. Im wondering if Im missing something to hold the empty bobbin on or if there where special bobbins. The tapered part of the winding spindle is to small for a normal bobbin. Hope you can help.
