How I make crustacean eyes for tying shrimp, crab and crayfish flies. They are made from glass seed beads threaded and CA glued on hard mason nylon leader material and then top coated with 30 minute cure epoxy. Something I didn't show or do on this set is to color the melted bead on the end of the eye stem black; before you glue the beads, slide the beads on the four stems up, pull your nail polish brush out of the jar and dab the melted end of the eye stem in to the lacquer laden brush to coat the little pupil ball. Then let the beads slide down on to the wet paint.Everyone has their favorite way of making these type of eyes, even if you don't adopt this exact procedure, you may pick up some tips on making them that you can apply to your favorite type of crustacean eye.Keep on tying,Kirk
