AlanS 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2018 I don't have a local fly shop except for Sportsman's Warehouse 1/2 hour south. or a place in Ketchum, Idaho that charges 5x what something is worth. The other day I was looking to try out some Veevus thread. I tried to order some from a online shop to order a bobbin of 6/0 and 8/0. I clicked on one of them price x.xx plus x.xx shipping, then clicked the other and they wanted another buck to put that second bobbin in the envelope. Yea, kinda pissed me off. Anybody know a online fly tying material place that wont nickel and dime a guy. Thanks.
wr1nkles 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2018 I shop J. Stockard (www.jsflyfishing.com). They're having a thread sale now, including Veevus.

flytire 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2018 i dont know what online fly shop you tried ordering from but ive never experienced any shop adding an extra dollar to ship the next item most online shops have a set shipping rate. some do not charge shipping after you spend a certain amount expect to pay shipping on 2 spools of thread
notenuftoys 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2018 Take a gander through this thread. Lots of options for ordering materials online. I'm a big fan of J Stockard also. Edit: This is actually the thread I was thinking about. http://www.flytyingforum.com/index.php?showtopic=76528&hl=online
