swampsinger 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2017 I finally got to give salt water fly fishing a try, it won't be last. I never got acomplished what I wanted, but had enough fun to see the possibilities. I caught small Jack cravelle, barracuda, and needle fish, and lost a couple of nice fish. Top fly was a gartside gurgler. This Forum and the members here have been an inspiration and an asset. thanks
Bimini15 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2017 Some people would look at that list and say they are trash fish. But I have had days of glorious fun on nothing but jacks.

Piker20 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2017 Unless you live in a golden utopia I believe you take what you can with saltwater fishing. The seas an odd mistress and she hide her treasures as quick as she flashes them. Enjoy being out there and getting a tug.

Peterjay 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2017 Welcome to the saltwater insanity. Like Piker says, you never know what's gonna turn up out there. Sometimes nothing, but when it's good, it's VERY good.
