Guest Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Last night was the first of maybe 5-6 days of a major hatch. These came out of the Lower Lake St. Clair. Enough to sweep. We ended up with rain and the entire area smells like a fish market Here's close-up of one resting on a dime. (actually a drop of glue held it there. )

Guest Report post Posted June 11, 2004 LOL This is at work. My house is about 3 miles inland and only once every few years will I see some there. I suspect tomorrow will be even worse. It will get to the point where the birds get tired of eating them. One year I was riding my motorcycle and blew right through an intersection. I couldn't stop. They're like riding on greased ice. Pat, we might as well scrap tonight. They're calling for 2-3 footers and it looked like soup this morning.
