Rocco 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2016 I would like to have a saved backup for the fly patterns I have bookmarked. Two questions. Is that OK to do w/0 infringing on any rules here? How do I do manage it? (I am still on the first page of Computers for Dummies.) Rocco
flytire 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2016 do you mean patterns you bookmarked from this forum or the internet? you can 'save as' a web page you can save to evernote or one note you can copy and paste to a word document you can print to pdf
FlaFly 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2016 Flytire just about covered it. Note that many (if not most) of the flies posted on the database don't contain tying instructions.... some don't even specify materials. If you can find the same fly on Youtube, you can save the picture off the database to a word doc, then add the URL of the youtube.

Rocco 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 Thanks for all the tips and reassurance that the wrath of the cyber god will not be descending on me. Most of the patterns I have bookmarked are there because of innovative design features or potential applications on specific waters under certain conditions. My biggest problem now is remembering them when I sit down at the bench. And, as I have a penchant for losing access here every time my computer rebels at my abuses, now I will have a handy spare reference point.
