Flicted, this is a "side-bar" on the Secret Santa swap.  vicente is sending in a custom knife instead of a box of flies.  This thread was started to determine who, among all the Secret Santa participants, gets the knife instead of a box of flies.

 

The wheel was spun and the lucky person will have a particularly special gift under their tree this year.

I don't understand. Is this a swap where everyone sends something in, or is it just a drawing?

it's for the Christmas swap, I thought someone might like something other than another set of flies as most of us have hundreds if not thousands of extra flies.

Oh yea whoever gets it I tasted the sheath with coconut oil on the very odd chance you have a food allergy to it mail it back to me and I'll make a new one.

I don't get it. Why did you taste the sheath? Is the person who gets the knife supposed to taste the sheath? Do I have to taste the sheath before I send it out to the lucky winner?

Well my concern is more if they use it to cut food, I use coconut oil because it's food safe, doesn't go rancid and doesn't see soften the lettuce to much.
