agn54 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2016 Fantastic fly, I love the profile. I would love to see a shot of this in the dark with the luminous bead growing to see how it shines through. Bet this would work great in the lights at night
mikechell 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2016 DRON !!!Seems like forever since your last fly pictures. Another great looking fly ... but as was mentioned, what does it look like in the dark?
Piker20 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2016 I use a lot of luminous beads in my shore fishing bait rigs. From a human view point the glow lasts for a very short time, even using UV torch to 'charge'. Do the fish see a spectrum of light that persists which we don't? I'm unsure. They don't out fish my rigs with non lumi beads on but I use them as I feel they don't harm anything. So under the synthetic material will they add anything to the fly other than weight and profile?? I followed Dron tying this pattern in his blog and on FB and will be having a go at a couple but not because of the lumi bead. More because they are great a bait fish profile. dronlee 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 Yes... There are more to the profile of the baitfish... the glow is there but not very prominent... but I'm sure it will help if you are fishing in the dark or in the deep pool of blackish water.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 Looks just like bio-luminescence. Might make all the difference if you're fishing deep in the Marinas Trench or off the west coast of Balai Taman. Probably work for the areas just outside the reach of dock lights, too. Thank you for the dark shots, Dronlee.
