flytire 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2016 nice 1st try.... per keith fulshers book hook = 4xl to 6xl straight eye hook (preferred) (down eyed hooks can be used) belly hair is lighter (white/tan) than back hairs imo hair should be fine bucktail and straight as possible. tied sparse. marabou is another material that can be used. i have used schlappen to tie mini thundercreeks as a test pattern. proportion of the head is about 1/3 of the hook shank good video Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
