Very nice fly Ray, i use one very close to that, but i use pale yellow ice dubbing for the body -

sometimes the ugliest flies work the best, as the fish go after them to kill it and not let those damn things breed in the stream.

Hi Ray thanks for the kind words, i use tmc hooks in sizes 6-8 for most steelhead apps. and size 8 for inland

i do not add weight, but you can if you like. i swing/dead/strip it depending on the water conditions. i also make this in brown and olive to copy sculpins
