Golden Pheasant Tail

The recipe calls for golden pheasant tail for the tail and gills of the pattern. Can't find GP tail. What would you suggest as a substitute.

Have you tried the Feather Emporium?

They aren't cheap You can buy a whole skin sans the tail feathers for $15. With the tail the same skin is $100. Do the math...

If you do not need the long length of the fibers i would think hen pheasant tail fibers would be close and would hold up longer as Goldens tail fibers are not very durable.
