  4. That is the best Rock Worm I have seen, very nice. . . .
  5. 10-24 Mostly at the store people only buy 10-12 and some time 14's, I personally use 18-20 for most chiron
  6. Make sure when you grind, hold to the wheel for 3sec at the most, do not let it get to hot becasue you can loose the temper. Which makes for a soft jaw which will be shot in a month or so. Gun blue it when your done to get the black look back.
  7. Yeah, I ground a couple years ago. . .I made my vise out of three other vises, getting a new one finally for my b-day in july, it's been 3 years. . . tying one this one. .

  10. This is what I came up with to duplicate it. I have tied them with out the fluff also to boncnce and sink them like females. If you are in the area taxon, would love to show you where I found them, I have only found them in this one spot(atleast this big) Oh yeah I love the site it's been a great classroom for entomology.

  14. here is a shot of a chironomid that I caught in my fly box, they hatch throught the year at one of my favorite fishing hole here in WA. They are huge midges, and the cutties I fish for love them and will spend all day feeding on thier hatches, gave me two nice 16" hook ups yesterday. I have collected thier shucks also which are a light olive so I assume thats more the color they are when Larva.
