  1. I got some small orange boobies for ya. Not my finest work but I'll make it up to you guys for next month. Billy
  2. The crayfish patterns are an Ian Colin James pattern called the Outcast Crayfish. I tie them in the small sizes from 12-8 and tie them either weighted with a little lead underbody and tied upside down ('cause they ride hook point up) or I tie them non-weighted and then add a few split shot to the line. Either way you have to get them to the bottom, and fish them slow. For the bigger crays on bigger water I tie the Full Motion Crayfish. It is an easy pattern to find online. Like I said I like this bigger, so size 6-8. And if I need really quick small crays that I don't mind losing the simplest is Skip's Dad. skip the extra materials and just tie a body of pheasant tail. This is truly a gorgeous use of one material. I have a special place in my heart for one material flys, like marabou damsels, puke flies, rackelhanen, marabou leeches and Fran Better's Usual.
  3. Mailed mine today as well. Hopefully it gets through customs quickly this time. Billy
  4. I'll do a white puke fly with a soft hackle. I can't wait to see everyones flies for march. Billy
  5. Hey Guys, and maybe gals.... I apologize but I just got my flies in the mail today. I shipped them air so they should get to SC a bit quicker than last time. I mean really, I should be able to drive them down myself in a day, it would just cost a lot more than $7.50. That said they are off and might make it by early next week. Billy
  6. I have an attractor water boatman, with a glass bead head and epoxy coating. Let's call it the Epoxy Boatman.
  7. I do hope the flies make it to you by Tuesday. I am already done the February flies, they are a size 12 Epoxy Water Boatman. I will send them asap. That way they will make it sooner. Next time I will look into faster options. Thanks. Billy
  8. Ok so I was wondering, what do you guys use? Gold Ribbed Hares Ear, Birds Nest, Guides GRHE, Soft Hackles, March Brown Nymphs...... They all look similar, I have been trying out a few with no significantly different results. What have you decided on, why do you think it works for you? If you could, let us know where you live. There is probably regional preferences. Thanks Billy
  9. I'll be sending a Green Klinkhammer pattern. Looking forward to the flies guys, and gals. Billy
  10. Guido - That desk is excellent. I have never seen anything like it here in Canada. Maybe I should mail order one in. Thanks for the pics. Billy
  11. This is my Clouser Minnow with a marabou tail and rubber legs. Squirrel Tail wing over Olive Marabou with a Yellow Marabou Belly. Some extra long Gold Krystal Flash helps when the fish are really stuck to the bottom or the water is murky. The Clouser Deep Minnow is a go to fly for smallmouth, I carry almost a whole box of them in early summer and late fall. Billy
  12. I would like to join. This is my first swap so if you could PM me a few details I would appreciate it. Thanks Billy
  13. Around Ottawa, Canada, we have to rely on our Smallmouth Bass and Walleye populations to get us through the year (we don't have many trout here). Come fall, big full slow moving Clouser minnows and Crays do the trick in the tailouts. There is a whole tying season left, adn tehre should be plenty coming off of my vise over the next few months.
