The darker color on the same side of the abdomen as the weight in on the head.

I'm assuming the weight will turn the hook over, so doesn't that make the colors upside down?

 

It's an interesting tie ... just wondering about the coloring.

Maybe)) You need to check with the camera in the water how it moves.

I won't be checking ... I don't tie flies like this. Too many places I fish have soft bottoms. A weighted fly like that would disappear in the silt.

I have very little experience of catching a nymph. ((

 

But we have a lot of imitations of this insect)) And I know guys who exactly catch them.
