  1. ok thank you I will do that .
  2. It is a size 02 , I most the time use a model u301 size 02 1x strong,3x long , but for crappie I use a Dai-Riki #730 size 6 or smaller . safe fishing and good luck
  3. I do a lot of streamer fishing up there for those big browns and I have to use my 10wt though . but I have found that those big browns up there wont eat any bugs they act like Ocean fish and the only thing I found that works good is big streamers and in that the bigger the better . Thank you and lol attack that's good .
  4. I tied this pattern for catching the big browns up at the palisades Dam and works really good but wanted your all tips on fine tuning this fly to make it better . thank you .
  5. Thank you Flafly and its all good , most of the time I think faster than I can type . Its not fun without laughs and jokes and that was good . Best of luck on the water and safe trips
  6. That is awesome man ,I have heard stories about Atlantic Salmon from my grandfather always wanted to go but have not been able to . The closest steelhead and salmon is the salmon river and it is a bit of a drive but plan on going next year , I live near Idaho falls so it kinda bites not fishing for salmon and steelhead .
  7. thank you for the welcome Spm .Best of luck on the water Sir .
  8. I like to go for the Browns and cutthroats but I am happy with what I catch . Right now I am trying to go up to Palisades reservoir to try and hook up on the big lake trout I have been hearing about . And how about u Salarfishing ? good luck
  9. That is a very awesome fly , but I hope this helps a little but my father was a scuba dive a lot in the Puget sound and growing up hearing the stories of him and his dive partner finding squid swimming from on the bottom to 4 foot off of it . During the day they stood like cones on the bottom but would move if being pursued .
  10. Thank you gentlemen for the welcome and the tips and I will try to do my best with every one .
  11. Hi I am flyman23 and I am new to this site and thought I would say hi for the first time . I live in South East Idaho by the South fork of the Snake River and New to tying flies . I have been fly fishing for 14 years now and have been pursuing a dream to become a guide and the goal on that is to teach children how to fly fish and well to keep the art alive . I am originally from Tacoma ( well out side that 45 miles ) Washington and grew up ocean fishing with my pa and uncles . This is a whole new world for me and a bit over whelmed with all the info posted on here and just wanted to say thank you for sharing it . Best of luck to you all out fishing and a good time tying .
