I took this shot in late September with a disposable camera I carried in the glove box back before the days when cell phones had cameras. I was driving from our cabin to North Lake in the Sierra's and stopped on the bridge over Bishop Creek and snapped this picture. The contrasts is what caught my eye with the fall colors on the aspens, the greens of the pines, the blue of the sky, the whites of the clouds and snow and the water itself.

Unfortunately this is a scanned image of a blown up print so the true resolution of the photo is missing (in the original you can see fish fining in the creek) but it is still one of my favorites and hangs over my desk.

John Muir - Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

It would be pretty ... if it didn't have that evil snow every where.

It is a nice shot, though.

That's post card status!

Yes, oh yes.

And that scene would look wonderful without the snow!

LOL

It is a great scene, too.
