I'm building a 7' Texas rig rod; St Croix SCII70MHF and I have enough guides to set it up as a 12,10,10,8,8,8,8 with the tip top. My question is since my tip top is a #6 can I do this or do I need to use #6 running guide and do something like a 12,10,10,8,6,6,6. Again thanks for all your help in advance.
