Troutman 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2003 Heard about this board from some friends a while ago so I've been lurking for the last couple weeks. I live in the NW corner of Oregon but do a good amount of my fishing in the centrarl part of the state. I prefer trout but by no means am I a spieces snob, I do a little blue gill fishing and hoping to figure out the bass this year. Anyway just wanted to say hi. Guest Report post Posted December 20, 2003 TM, if you need a good bluegill pattern, check out the red tailed spider in the fly pattern database. That`s the main fly I use while gill fishin, and let me tell you, it works like a charm, and is REALLY easy to tie! John, you argue with me for nearly 2 years that my fly is a bluegill pattern and now when you may be "THREATENED" by it you want to tell me it's a trout pattern. Make up your mind buddy!!
