SilverCreek 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2016 Midge pupa are not tied on 2XL hooks. Your hooks looks fine. If they were the hook gap would be 2X narrower and hooking the fish would be more difficult. The hook is fine but I think there is too much matieral on the hook. Chironomid pupa are thin relaive to thier body length.
