phg 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2015 Let me add just one comment, if you go down to the beginner's forum, you'll find several lengthy discussions of the subject in recent weeks/months. It won't take you long to understand why I posted what I did.
BattenkillBum 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2015 I like my Renzetti Master, but will someday like to tie on a Law. Both are "good" vices.
utyer 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2015 NO, NO, NO, you absolutely MUST tie on the vise I use, no other vise will ever do. Run right out, right now don't wait, get MY vise no matter what it costs or what it does, its the best that ever was.
RCFetter 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2015 Renzetti is probably the most popular rotary vise. The Traveler series starts at $165. Here is the link: http://www.renzetti.com/index.php/vises-189/traveler-series
cjsnyder1234 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2015 ya for the money a renzetti travel is great I love mine but if you can get a regal they are built like a tank.
add147 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2015 I have a HMH and a Regal I got off of Ebay. If you have a place that you can maybe look at some in person would be good. Some in the forum have high dollar vises and others have cheapos. I guess it all depends on your budget and what type of flies you will be mostly tying. There's really not a right or wrong answer. I asked this very same question about a year ago. Bottom line get what YOU like!
