  1. I also like to add a little rubber to different flies. Mostly on buggy nymphs though -- sized 8 and up I suppose -- but on big hoppers they can help too. Never thought about them on a humpy before. Bass love 'em -- try some on your crayfish patterns. They really add movement and make anything feel more "buggy."
  2. Wow! Amazing work. I will be bookmarking this for sure! Thank you for sharing!
  3. Thanks for the warm welcome! ALSO, thanks for moving my post. I didn't see the GD forum... steeldrifter, PM inbound. Tom
  4. Hello gents -- I'm a college kid/flyfishing bum from northern MN. I work fishing sales at Gander Mountain and in the fall will (if all goes according to plan) be working part time at our local fly shop. I've been tying flies for about eight years, give or take. Mostly basic stuff and lots of bass-pike flies, since summertime around here can make for some slim trout pickings. I've been reading all the old posts and I think this is the flyfishing internet home I've been looking for. Here's a question, though: do I need to register here AND at the talkflyfishing and rodbuilding sites? I thought one registration was good for all three, but my login only works here. Thanks for any tips, and thanks for a great forum -- Tom, aka suomi39
