Okay, I feel naked doing this, but here goes...

Excellent close ups of minnows and other fish species
(It's Virginia, but many of the species are found in other states)

Black Nosed Dace closeup

Lots more fish!

This is the main page of a microscopic photo site. Not just bugs, but cool!

The thing I look for is stuff that gives me first a good picture of the creature I want to imitate, 2nd info on its habits.

Now I'm feeling all vulnerable after sharing some of my best sites, so I'm going now... unsure.gif

Thanks for the sites, new to this one and already enjoying it, especially the info. Should have listened to Roy earlier (I hate to admit when he is right) wallbash.gif

My friend Roger Rohrbeck who helped me with valuable feedback and testing on Troutnut.com has created a really nice new site of his own with a very impressive, organized collection of information: Fly Fishing Entomology.

Found this one, dont know if you know it, but lots of good pics, looks like users post photos the take from all over, just type in the type of insect your looking for.
