The only thing I can find online that's close is the female "Common White Tail Dragonfly".

I figured some of you realistic tiers might like the photos.  These have been resized down ... if anyone wants a larger photo, let me know.

Wonder why it is so short, almost looks like it's still developing from the nymphs abdomen.

This was a dying adult ... I "rescued" it from the water for the photos.  It never did fly away, even after having plenty of time to dry off and get warm.  So it was on it's last few legs ... so to speak.
