Bead eyes

I found some small black beads in a craft shop. I took some braided mono fly backing line and melted the end into a narrow strand so that I could thread on the beads.After threading on some beads, I dabbed a spot of 5 minute epoxy below each bead and slid the bead over the epoxy. By spacing the beads carefully, you can end up with matched pairs of eyes for shrimp or pairs of eyes with stalks for crabs.

I tried you idea it works really good ,you can make many differant kinds of eyes.

For bead-heads, go to your local mom and pop hardware store and buy some cieling fan chain. It's usually cheaper than from a fly shop and sometimes you can find a few size options, especially if they carry the pull chains for table and desk lamps.

Remember your army surplus stores! Soldiers have been hanging their dog tags from bead chain eyes for a very long time now...... I doubt any of them ever had much of an idea......

While you are at the hardware store for the ceiling fan chain, check out the bathtub plug chain for some bigger eyes.
