Why did they go out of business? I started out with a model B which I still use for large flies. They made a really great product

why would an out of business have a website with a 2017 copyright at the bottom of their web page? for historical reference?

The last time I contacted Thompson was a couple of years ago. I believe this is a company that is continuing on with the Thompson name - I have seen a vise recently bought new from them...not exactly the same as the original Thompsons but it had excellent quality and workmanship just like the originals.

Thompson went out of business. Someone else bought up the name, and is trying to continue the business. You can debate if it's the same company or not....
