utyer 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2019 Went out Tuesday to work the kinks out of my single hand spey casting, and see if there were any Shad in the St Johns river yet. Didn't catch any Shad, but the Crappie and Sunfish were all over this pattern. The pattern gets its name from the material used for the body (Red Heart Sparkle Scrubbie,) which is a yarn made for making pot scrubbers. You can find it in the yarn area at Walmart. I tied some if these up last year for Shad, and they did work for the Shad, as well. Since posting this, I have learned that the name "Pot Scrubber" is already in use. So I will change this pattern to Pot Scrubbie.
gillage 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2019 @utyer Please, Is that a bead head or a yarn head? It kinda looks like a yarn head but.............. Thanks
utyer 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2019 That is a glass bead head, but I use nail polish to change the color when I run out of the color I want. The body material sometimes get caught in the nail polish.
