SBPatt 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2016 Don't know who came up with this Humpy variation on the original but it's a cool fly. hook -Dai Riki 305 #14 thread - Danville 6/0 black butt - Danville 6/0 red tail/shellback - deer hair abdomen - peacock herl rib - tying thread hackle - grizzly mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap halfway down bend and create a bump, brush with Sally clean, stack, measure ( gap width past bend) a small clump of deer hair; tie in, fold butts back over tail, half hitch/trim thread start black thread, create a loop and wrap to tail tie in peacock; twist/wrap to 2/3 mark, tie off/trim slight twist to deer hair, pull forward; tie down/trim buts rib body; tie off/trim tie in hackle wrap hackle, tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
