hi my name is shane, I've been trolling on here for awhile now thought i should introduce myself. Mainly fished rivers with spinning rod until last year a work buddy took me fly fishing for the first time(duck n chuck steelies) got hooked. Trout season came back around picked up a 5 wt and first fish to take my streamer was a 29.5" brown (profile pic.). Thought it would be fun to learn how to make rods and figured it would help me understand fish rods better. so here i am now.

did take a crack at making a ice rod. Didnt do enough research first. (i started wraps too far below the guide and did grind the feet) i would post pics but I will have to resize them when i get home because i says they are too big.
