I've had this one in the shop for quite some time. Maybe I was afraid of it? I don't build many fly rods and I've never had this much $$$ in a blank before. Got Adam to come over and photograph it for me before it left forever. I must give credit to JP Timberlake for the grip design. I saw it at the ICRBE last year and just HAD to try to build one myself.

I know it's not a traditional grip for a 7wt, but it's what the customer wanted.....he HATES full wells grips He's also one that LOVES to rod-wrap everything. I figured if I gave him a somewhat cool grip, he wouldn't be as likely to cover it up.

Blank: Sage One 10' 7wt.
Hardware: Batson RA-8
Insert: Reelseatblanks black box elder burl finished with TruOil
Cork: Lamar exotic burl (I still have some of Andy's old stuff laying around)
Winding Check: Batson LTWC
Stripper Guides: Fuji ICMNSG
Running Guides: Snake Brand Universals (Black Nickel)
Thread: Gudebrod Black/ProWrap Champagne Metallic
Decal: Decal Connection
