Did a float trip in Central Minnesota yesterday.  Weather was partly sunny, shifted to clouds, and ended in rain,  Really wanted to fish poppers, but started out fishing streamers.  The bass and northerns pounded them.  In fact, we lost flies to very aggressive and acrobatic northerns up to 26".  The streamer fishing held up all day, but for about an hour they would nose the flies.  Once the drizzle and rain started they pounded them again.  I never got around to fishing poppers.  Nobody else was on the water.

Fly fishing for over 40 years never gave me a walleye until last week.  Now this one makes two in two weeks.  The hit was very aggressive and predatory.

Today is catching up on home projects and tying a few flies.

Cool! I went on a float trip at gulkana river. That was INTENSE.

Person: "The world's on fire!"

Me: "Well, the lake isn't, so what's the problem?"

NICE fish pictures, Musky!  Good looking stretch of water behind you.

Nice! That walleye looks to be perfect for the fry pan.
