Tied here as a Fall Drake; change color/size to suit your needs. hook Dai Riki 320 #12 thread/rib - UTC 70 tan tail - Congo Hair brown rib - Uni-Stretch brown abdomen/thorax - dubbing tan wing(s) - deer hair hackle - partridge mash barb, start thread clean, stack, measure (shank length) a clump of deer hair; trim, 2 soft loops around the butts, pull firm (maintain pinch to keep it from spinning) pull wing back and set up with thread wraps in front tie in shuck; fold, wrap to bend, trim (gap width) tie in rib dub thread/dub abdomen counterwrap rib; tie off/trim divide wing, front to back prep partridge, tie in by tip; wrap, tie off/trim dub thorax whip finish, SHHAN Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
