I've been following this forum for a bit and decided to join in.  I've been Fly Fishing for 20 years and tying about 20 years...initially thought I would save money...hmmm. Thank you for the forum.

Quit tying flies you'll never use ... and you can save money by tying your own.

And welcome to the site.

I started to save money, on the flies I use, when I quit buying exotic materials, and quit trying the latest/newest patterns that seem to be developed around a must have (and new)  material.  I think I could cut my stash to 4-5 body materials and 3-4 skins and never miss the other bushel of "stuff". Fish in the Ozarks aren't well educated about such things.

Anyhow, welcome aboard; and where do you fish?
