New Arrow in the Quiver

Recommended Posts

Put a new arrow in the quiver yesterday. Needed something to sit between my Sage Vantage 4 wt. and my Orvis Clearwater salt 9 wt. Picked up the Orvis Recon 9.0 6 wt. My parents sent along some gift cards early and couldn't resist. Took the rod out the other day in Delaware and avoided getting skunked.

Nice addition to the quiver and great weight rod for trout.

I'm from lower Delaware and enjoy fishing the white clay fly fishing area for trout.

Mike - Your eyes do not deceive.

Fshng2 - See you out on the water! Trying to get out to the Tuplehocken or elsewhere in Lancaster country for a change of scenery.

Good to see you back, from Villanova, if my brain is working... Like this photo a bunch, thanks for the share!

Go Owls. Are you heading down to St Petersberg?

If you have Bowl game tickets, there is probably some salt or other fishing nearby.

You may get another chance on that fox. More photos welcome any time.

I'm not but my department chair is most likely heading down. The Gasparilla Bad Boy Bowl. Apparently a Gasparilla is some sort of nickname for a pirate. Who knew!

"Named for pirate Jose Gaspar, who terrorized the coastal waters of West Florida during the late 18th and early 19th centuries ..."

Gasparilla was his nickname. Florida history ... and I hated history in school. Still do, actually.

Gasparilla..sounds like it should be a name for a fly pattern or even a certain beverage (sarsaparilla with a shot of tequilla).
