vicrider 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2019 Yes. I would like caddis for Christmas. Thanks Bob for the invite. I would like to try something I saw years ago. A cased caddis with a real sand body. When I first started fishing trout years (many many) ago up in northern WI I could not understand how so much junk got into their bellies. I began to think they had to eat some gravel to digest food like a partridge does. Then I found out that they eat caddis while in the case. I guess the protein is worth passing the grit through their system. Bob, I found a fly on the interlinky system I really like. Got a half dozen tied right now. It's called the Holy Grail Caddis Emerger. I didn't name it so don't call on it but it is a nice tie. Not too hard but takes some care to fit things to the shank of a 14 and keep everything in proportion and hook eye open.
