SBPatt 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2020 Just in case the four wing clumps arent enough to keep it on top. hook WFC Model 6 #8 thread - UTC 140 grey brown tag - Danville Single Strand Floss flame orange wing(s) - deer hair body - hares Ear collar - golden pheasant rump red over sharptail grouse head - deer hair Mash barb, start floss at point above; wrap part way down bend and back, brush with Sally Start tying thread, tie off/trim floss; clean, stack, measure (gap width) a clump of deer hair Trim butts, tie in Dub thread/dub body Repeat winging sequence (measure tips to end of preceding clump) Dub Lather, rinse, repeat; finish up about 3 eye widths from the front Tie in grouse feather by tip; wrap, tie off/trim Repeat with pheasant rump Clean, stack, measure (shank length) a clump of deer hair Allow deer hair to surround hook shank, tie in with 2 soft loops, trim butts even with hook eye, spin Half hitch x 2, SHHAN, trim head Regards, Scott Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
