  1. Hello, I have been messing around and tying random patterns I can think of, and tied a pattern that absolutely slayed my local browns in the winter. I have not been able to find this fly tied anywhere, and have the feeling I just invented a fly. Here I have included a google form to help come up with the name (as I suck at naming things). It would be much appreciated if you take the time to fill it out. https://goo.gl/forms/nWP1MZfFrG0TM86E2 Regards, Louka
  2. After browsing around the internet for alternatives to tubing for tube flies I haven't really found any good replacements. I have heard cotton swab tubes are a popular replacement. What even is a cotton swab tube? I haven't been able to find anything on it. I have also thought of using plastic straws that you can find at the dollar store, but I doubt they would be able to withstand the wear and tear of catching fish. Any suggestions on tubing replacements (preferably something that I can find easily in stores)?
  3. I read that you should never purchase late season deer hair, as it is unven and not very hollow. So, what would be the best time of year to purchase deer hair for spinning?
