A little poor from one of the woolly bugger swap flies.

Nice Dave, was it a dubbing bugger?

Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for the day; Teach a man to tie flies and he'll pick up all the roadkill.

Got a few casts in at a friend's pond today, the big one is on a sculpin from the sculpin swap a while back, the others are on richmce's work from the bass swap and a popper from the same swap that didn't have a tag.

Edit:
I was thinking about I think the worm may actually have been from dflanagan, big black one whoever tied it it fishes extremely well once it takes on some water

Might be a long shot but hopefully whoever tied this will see it. Not even sure what swap I got this in but its about dead so hoping whoever tied it can post the pattern? Also, wanted to say thanks because its not something I would have fished otherwise but its been a solid producer for me.

Sweet! Glad that one's worked out for you. I've had lots of luck on it, too. It's basically just a Morrish mouse with a dubbing loop body instead of spun deer hair. Can't remember what dubbing I used...one of the leggy blends from FTD. If I were tying it today, I'd use 6mm foam for the back and a sparser dubbing loop.

Tight lines,
David

Another sooty grunter caught on the weekend.  This time to a black conehead woolly bugger from one of the bugger swaps I've been a part of over the last few years.

Thanks to iHang10 for the fly he tied for a previous swap.  I landed my first ever Lake Trout on a fly.  The fish were in the 2-4 pound range and provided great action.
