  1. Great looking creations there, denduke. I use foam in about 95% of what I tie. Generally fast ties and the bass and bream love them.
  2. Evening denduke, I use a 9mm cartridge and a couple of different size curtain rods. I gotta get to hobby lobby to get some sheets of foam ( yellow and black mostly. The flip flops the I came across has really good foam. I guess it is luck of the draw.
  3. Was at DG a little while ago.amd.fpund.some.fo kneeling pads. $.50 each. Bad thing is they only had 2 of them. Love a bargain though. Even better when it is foam.
  4. Capt. Bob, I have found that bass are not really that picky on what they will hit as far as appearance. I fish a couple of creeks and the bass in each creek prefer different color poppers. Chartreuse in one creek, green in another and orange in one. It’s crazy. The paint don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to “dress” them up. Just a thin tail maybe some hackle and rubber legs. I don’t like to fish a bug that looks like it belongs in a museum.
  5. I cut them with a tubing cutter and sharpened one end with a file as to make smooth cuts. Works like a champ.
  6. I have a couple of different size pieces of curtain rod about 6” long and a couple of different size spent pistol cartridges. All will fit my cordless drill. Drill out popper bodies from flip flop foam. One pair of flip flops will yield many bodies, for cheap.
  7. Howdy folks. I am not new here but I feel like it. Been away for close to 6 years. Nope, haven’t been in jail or anything like that. Just got lazy and stopped coming on here. Haven’t stopped fishing although I haven’t had much time to fish with Rona around and work. Hopefully that will all change now. Y’all take care!!!!
  8. I know Mustad hooks have a good reputation and are usually easy to fin, which is a plus.
  9. That’s kinda what I was thinking. Probably gonna get a good selection from your list, if they are available in the sizes I need. Tie up a couple with each one and try’em out.
  10. Yep. I am in Brookhaven. Been many years since I fished it. I like small creeks or at least the ones I can wade.
  11. Denduke, Lake Tangipahoa? Where is that? Sounds familiar. Percy Quinn?
  12. Thanks for the info Philly. Good luck on your Canada trip.
  13. Denduke, you done got me wanting to try some cork poppers. I like those.
  14. I had someone on another media page said Ahrex Nordic Salt Light Stinger. Said they really liked them. Didn’t know if those were saltwater hooks and if they were, could they be used in freshwater situations.
