  1. Sure didn't have much effect on those Montana, Mustad and Tiemco hooks living next to those Sabers. :dunno: Maybe it's the Pine and Kettle Creek WATER! :hyst:
  2. Hi Lou! Say....aren't you buds with the dude that owns that fly shop in Ansonia Pa? Small world we live in.:dunno: I noticed he had a pretty good selection of Sabers the last time I was in there. Nope nope nope. They were Sabers. Look at the rust marks. What a waste of money. $6.50 a 100 and that's about all they are worth. :ripped:
  3. I tied a bunch of wet flies on the Sabers. I've noticed tiny little rust spots in my fly box from the flies that I used and put away. Beware. Dry your flys on a fly patch before putting them back into your fly box.
  4. Welcome aboard. I'm a Keystoner to. They are kind to us here.
  5. Glod Bless You for saying what needed to be said. :headbang: Article #1 Article 2
  6. Pink Jelly Rope is a great material to use for the Pink Jelly Caddis. Tie some of these and fish them and you'll never think about egg patterns again.
  7. I use alot of Togen beads. Some are a little rough, and it was a concern at first. After tying and fishing with them for the last year, I've had no problem at all with them.
  8. I like to kick back and relax when I'm tying. Smoke a butt, sip a drink, pet the cat, etc etc etc. But when I gotta go, I can knock out 14 Wonder Wings an hour. But when that happens, tying becomes more of a job. Then it's not fun anymore.
  9. Great signature there NetABrookie
  10. Krylon Clear works well if you want to spray. I've used Krylon for years, but here lately I've been using Sally Hansons Hard As Nails with excellent results. Takes a little longer to coat them, but the end results seems to be a sturdier feather.
  11. Thanks Eastern. Maybe Al Beatty could chime in on tying the WW. He can describe the winging technique much better than I. Besides, I learned it from him on FOAL.
  12. You can make some dynamite March Brown wings with them.
  13. I use Mustad, Montana Fly and Togen. Tried those Sabers last year and thought they were pretty decent to tie on. Don't know what the deal is, but they never left the house and they are oxidizing already. Glad I only bought 800 of them. :ripped:
  14. I use them on my personal flies and haven't had any troubles. Only difference I have noticed in the dry fly hooks is that the Togens are slightly smaller than the Mustad 94840s that I usually employ.
  15. Nice looking site! We wish we had your talent!
