My son, my brother and I fished a small farm pond Sunday night, and we caught over 100 bass in two hours using deer hair poppers, foam poppers, and hairy maras. It was a perfect evening, accented by dove, pheasant, turkey and coyote calls. At one point, I caught a fish on six consecutive casts. The largest fish was maybe a pound and a half, but regardless of the size, top water fishing is hands down the most fun you can have fishing in central Kansas.
