Boy, I don't know about that last picture, Stu.  Looks like those pesky fish just chewed the crap out of them !!!

The ones above that look well tied.

Yeah, those pesky fish. Those flies were the result of about 40 redfish and trout chewing on them. I'm happy to report that no oysters got any flies that day.It would be nice if every fly ended up looking like that instead of being donated to trees, rocks, logs and the like.

Mike
Great looking frogs. We will not be fishing until May, but can't wait to use your frog from last year's swap. Windchill this week is expected to hit -40. These are the days I tie.

Caloosa,
Great looking bass fly. Would you be willing to post a materials list? I think tomorrow is going to be an inside day.
Thanks
Tom

Thanks guys!

Tom, it's just a couple hackles for the tail.

A hen soft hackle.  Then a few wraps of the same hackle as the tail for the head.

Two weekends ago, I was invited to Powershooter's home.  Spent some good time with Bo and his family.  We tried deer hair.  Getting it tightly packed and for me, trying to stack colors without them spinning or moving around.

I didn't get that part right, still.  But these are the two flies I tied that day.

Neither picture is good ... but you get the idea.  The blue one didn't have a tail on it until last night.  Green mop for legs and some blue eyelash yarn for a "skirt".

FYI ... If you're ever in the Richmond area, make it a point to contact Bo.  Great guy!
